Bemus Point has a small but well-stocked collection of independent shops along Main Street and in the surrounding village. Most are open seasonally, with a handful open year-round.
Youâll find hand-thrown pottery, locally crafted furniture, clothing boutiques, childrenâs gifts, and alpaca fiber goods. The shop owners are part of the community and know their customers by name.
Spend an afternoon walking through the village, stopping into a few shops, and ending the day by the lake.
A working alpaca farm and gift shop located just outside Bemus Point, open April 15 through January 15 and by appointment. Alpacaville sells alpaca yarn, clothing, blankets, and accessories made from their on-site herd. Visitors are welcome to meet the animals.
A pottery studio and shop open May through November in Bemus Point. Bemus Point Pottery sells hand-thrown and handcrafted ceramic pieces made locally, including mugs, bowls, vases, and sculptural works.

A Bemus Point institution since 1908. With three floors of shopping on Main Street, Skillmans carries apparel and footwear for women and men, artisan jewelry, home accents, gourmet food and wine accessories, books, and a dedicated kidsâ room with puzzles, books, and games. Open seven days a week.
Stone & Outdoor Living Center in Bemus Point carries landscape stone, outdoor furniture, hardscape materials, and outdoor living products for local property owners and lake home projects.

This year, Bemus Point is expanding its traditional fireworks display into an extended 25-minute show in honor of Americaâs 250th anniversary. Fireworks will launch from barges in Bemus Bay and can be viewed from Village Park, Lakeside Drive, boats, docks, and countless spots around the lake.
Make it a full evening by tuning into Kix Country 96.5 & 100.3, where a patriotic soundtrack will accompany the fireworks and add another layer to the celebration.
Spend the day exploring Bemus Point before the show! Shop our local boutiques, grab dinner or ice cream, enjoy live music, and take in everything our lakeside village has to offer before looking to the sky at 10PM.
